David Tavares' Bio

David Fonseca Silva Tavares - Born in 1964 in the island of Brava, Cabo Verde.

In 1977 myself and 5 other siblings set sail to the land of opportunity to join our parents seeking The American Dream.

As the case of many others, my dream came through after making many sacrifices, hard work, and not being afraid to go the extra mile.

I graduated from Madison Park High School in 1982. With a community scholarship I attended Northeastern University for 1 year followed by 6 months training at Computer Learning Center to become a Computer Operator.

I have been working in the Information Technology field since 1984. Today I work for a bank doing Cyber Security.

I am one of the founders of MPCVFF, an organization where our goal is to make a contribution to High School seniors looking to achieve their American Dream.
